I always wonder if being a mother changes everyone else like it has me. From the moment I found out I was pregnant, my diet and outlook on food changed. I researched vitamins and what not to eat so that my tiny ‘pea’ could grow as healthy as possible. Thirteen years later, not much has changed! I still make sure my blossoming 12 year old and her siblings drink enough water, makes healthy choices, gets exercise, and avoids sweets.

Thankfully, finding food that fits my criteria has gotten easier over the years. From cereals with no dye to sandwiches without nitrates, there are now aisles, if not grocery stores, dedicated to cleaner, healthier eating. Happily, I get to tack on bold, flavorful potato chips as better-for-you-snack choice for my kids and myself!
