Support Hope for Youth and the Children They Support in Foster Care

Join the 5K Run/Walk benefitting the children on LI in foster care and recovery

Hope for youth is a local charity organization out of Amityville that has been helping at-risk children and families since 1969. Their first group home for adolescent boys was opened in Bellmore. Today it operates numerous services for children as young as six months, teens, and families that includes out-patient clinical and preventive services, foster care, diagnostic and emergency services, and residential programs through age twenty-one across the island. 

Support Hope for Youth and join on April 26th, 2015. You can run, walk, and even push a stroller along the sanctioned path at Heckscher State Park, Field 1 in East Islip.  All participants that register before March 26th are guaranteed a quality race t-shirt. Awards will be presented for overall winner, first place male, first place female, and to the top winner in each age group by gender. (14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and over 70)

Please register for the race here. Adults are $25 before/$30 the day of the race and children under 17 are $15 before/$20 the day of the race and include the official race t-shirt. Check in is from 7:30-8:30am and numbers/chips will be distributed on the day of the race. The race officially starts at 9am and is officially timed/sanctioned by USA Track & Field.
