Macaroni Kid Babylon’s Back to SchoolGuide for Moms: Easy Meals Edition
School’s back in session and that means homework, sports, tutoring, after school clubs and activities that can make any mother’s head spin! So were here to help make life (well, from 2pm to bedtime) a little easier!

We’ve all done it. You’ve picked the kids up from school, dropped them off at various places (all seemingly at the same time) and have no time to cook! But let’s save some money and our waistlines, ladies!

Tip #1
Use the Crock Pot: Check out this great site for some super simple (and yummy!) crock pot recipes! Another crockpot trick to save even more time: use the freezer! Freeze all the necessary recipe ingredients into a freezer bag on grocery day. Then thaw the meal in the fridge the night before you want it and pour into the crockpot in the morning. Turn it on and presto! Here are some recipes that won’t mess up your morning routine (aka chaos!)

Tip #2
Make Soups: What is better than a nice warm soup or stew on a chilly fall night? They are delicious, good for your family and travel easily! Make these recipes in advance (freeze or keep in the fridge), microwave before running out to play " Jeeves- After School chauffer" and put in a great throw away containers like these (that’s $.17 each!) Or if you want to be more earth friendly and/or don’t have room to store 250 containers, try these!

Tip #3
Quick Prep Recipes: Easy things like pasta and premade sauce, frozen stir fry veggies with microwave bags of rice are just a couple ideas of meals that take 20 minutes (or less) to prepare! Here are 10 more quick Kid Friendly Meal ideas that take 30 mintues or less to prepare!
Also try, one pan recipes! That way you don’t spend time after the meal cleaning when there’s homework, laundry, bathtime and quality time to be spent with the kids!

Tip #4
Be Prepared and Organized: Freezer meals, muffin tin meals and making extra of a favorite recipe so there are leftovers that just need a quick reheat are just a few ideas to help your family eat healthy on the run!
